You certainly can, but we like to think of MOON FRUIT Serum as a step-up from BAKUCHIOL Serum. If you use them together you'd get the benefits of polyhydroxy acids (PHA) from BAKUCHIOL Serum + plant peptides from MOON FRUIT Serum which are both powerful ingredients for smoothing skin. You could also try alternating them each night. Either way, they are safe to use alone or together!

Can I use Moon Fruit Serum with an exfoliating product?

Retinol alternatives like Moon Fruit Serum are more gentle on the skin, so they can be used together with exfoliating products. However, we recommend patch testing first since everyone’s skin tolerance is different.

What is the difference between Moon Fruit Serum and Bakuchiol?

We suggest Bakuchiol Serum if you are new to smoothing treatments and to prevent signs of aging + hydrating skin.

Nice texture, results pending!
I quit using Rx Retin-A last year, since I'm concerned about the toxicity of the stuff. I've been using this product nightly for almost two weeks. I can't say I see any improvement in skin texture YET, or in firmness or fine lines. It hasn't helped with clogged pores yet either, but in fairness that's not an advertised benefit. I can tell you that it hasn't caused any breakouts or irritation. There's no noticeable aroma to it, so it should be fine for sensitive noses like mine. The consistency is thin and non-greasy. Lovely packaging, as always for Herbivore. I usually don't use a serum, since I like to keep my skincare routine to just three steps: cleanse, tone, moisturize. After all, any ingredient that a serum can offer could also be found in a toner or moisturizer, so I'm not a believer in complicated skin care routines. But Herbivore was having a sale and I thought I'd give this serum a whirl. Jury still out!
